OUR HISTORY

 

In December 2017 ROOT was born. It soon became a hit with locals, travellers and foodies from all over. The sleek design, low lighting and attention to detail add to the main attaction ...the food!

 

Chef Anthony Sousa Tam originally from Macau returned to his home bringing along with him his knowledge and recipes from his 20 years of travel and experience of working in and with some top class establishments all over the world.

Root is the concept of Chef Anthony Sousa Tam and the meaning is at the very heart of what he tries to achieve.

Growing is very important to our Chef, serving only the the best ingrediences at the best time of the year!

 

Following the well received concept in ROOT we will be serving set menus - you will find different dishes and ingrediences to the ones you have already experinced at Japas!

 

By serving tasting menus we are able to give our customers the best experience we can give at the best prices. We are able to choose freshest produce because we already know what we need to prepare for your visit.

 

Our trained staff are able to focus on the finer details and ensure that all preparation is perfect for your visit adding to the delight of your dinner. We are passionate about being sustainable, this is something we care about deeply.
